Health Safety Environment Officer – Large Scale Project in Dubai

About the role

The Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer will join the HSE team of a large‑scale construction project in Dubai, supporting a safe and healthy workplace for all staff, contractors and visitors. Reporting to senior HSE management, the role focuses on implementing and continuously improving health, safety and environmental standards across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of health and safety procedures and ensure they are communicated and understood by all personnel.
• Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with HSE policies.
• Maintain an incident and accident register, issue non‑conformance notices and drive corrective actions.
• Review and comment on contractor‑submitted OH&S manuals and statements.
• Provide training and familiarisation sessions on HSE policies, documentation and best practices.
• Liaise with clients to brief them on internal HSE procedures.
• Supervise core HSE staff, assign inspection schedules and arrange training as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Health & Safety, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience on high‑rise construction projects.
• NEBOSH qualification.

• Health & Safety auditing.
