Health, Safety & Environment Technician

About the role

AL TAIF is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Technician to support its maintenance, repair and overhaul operations for the UAE Armed Forces. The role focuses on ensuring safe working conditions across workshops, warehouses and office areas.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety and environmental protocols in all AL TAIF facilities.
• Inspect work areas for hazards, report findings to the HSE Supervisor, and advise on corrective actions.
• Train staff on risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and environmental impact assessments.
• Prepare inspection reports, recommendations and conduct internal HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, transport and disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste in line with UAE regulations.
• Support the HSE team and perform additional duties as assigned by the HSE Manager.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
• Minimum two years of experience in an HSE role.
• Familiarity with industrial safety programs and ability to monitor HSE trends.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and ability to apply them on the ground.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with management and staff.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and maintain punctual attendance.
