Healthcare Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and dependable Healthcare Assistant to support patients and healthcare professionals with day‑to‑day care activities. The role involves assisting patients with basic needs, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining a clean, comfortable environment while ensuring dignity and compassion.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with routine daily activities, mobility, positioning, and transfers under appropriate supervision.
• Support personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other basic care needs within the permitted scope.
• Help nursing and healthcare staff with non‑clinical tasks, prepare patient rooms, beds and care areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection‑control, hygiene and safety procedures.
• Observe patients, report concerns to nurses, assist with meals, transport patients, and organize basic supplies.
• Complete basic records or documentation when required and attend required training.

Required profile

• High school education or equivalent; relevant healthcare training or certification preferred.
• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Caregiver or similar role is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; basic English required.
• Caring, respectful, patient‑focused attitude with ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Physically able to perform duties and willing to work shifts, weekends or public holidays.
