Hospital Pharmacist – Dubai

About the role

IIQAF Group is looking for a licensed pharmacist to join its hospital pharmacy in Dubai. The role focuses on safe dispensing, medication counseling and collaboration with the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately in line with physician orders and UAE pharmacy regulations.
• Review prescriptions for dosage, interactions, contraindications, allergies and therapeutic appropriateness.
• Provide patients with counseling on medication usage, side effects, storage and adherence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise therapy.
• Monitor medication safety, adverse drug reactions and support pharmacovigilance activities.
• Prepare and dispense intravenous, controlled and specialised pharmaceutical products where required.
• Maintain pharmacy records, inventories, controlled‑drug registers and dispensing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, DHA/MOHAP regulations and infection‑control standards.
• Participate in medication reconciliation, antimicrobial stewardship and clinical pharmacy initiatives.
• Supervise pharmacy assistants/technicians and conduct regular inventory audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Valid UAE pharmacist licence or eligibility for licensing under DHA, DOH or MOHAP.
• Previous experience in a hospital, clinical or community pharmacy setting.
• Strong knowledge of UAE pharmacy regulations and hospital pharmacy standards.
