Hospitalist I Specialist - Obstetrics & Gynaecology

About the role

Provide patient‑centric and evidence‑based consultant‑level care, ensuring compliance with ethical and professional standards set by Mediclinic and UAE regulatory authorities. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality obstetrics and gynaecology services to patients at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai. The specialist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, professional, and ethical clinical services to patients efficiently, adhering to best practice guidelines.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards set by the hospital and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records in accordance with documentation policies.
• Promote continuous professional development for self and colleagues through training, mentorship, and education initiatives.
• Uphold integrity by executing clinical services responsibly and ethically, respecting patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Possess a basic medical degree and a recognised specialty qualification, fellowship or diploma approved by the UAE healthcare authority.
• Hold certification and registration in the specialty recognised by the UAE authority, together with active life‑support certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS and NRP.
• Have 3–5 years of post‑qualification specialist‑level experience, preferably including at least one year in a Tier 1 country as defined by the UAE regulator.
