Hospitality Accountant

About the role

The Hospitality Accountant will manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping, support budget preparation and assist with monthly and annual closing activities for Arada’s hotel and student accommodation portfolio. The role ensures accurate financial records and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, record AP/AR, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Reconcile vendor, customer accounts, bank statements and other financial statements regularly.
• Prepare cash‑flow reports, manage petty‑cash and support fixed‑asset register updates.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, monthly schedules and VAT filings.
• Support budget preparation, variance tracking and financial analysis for community projects.
• Participate in month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes, including journal postings and accruals.
• Liaise with internal teams, auditors and management to provide required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce; Master’s degree or CA/ICWA/ACCA preferred.
• 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in hotel, student accommodation or related hospitality sectors.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and local financial regulations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
