Hotel Electrician – Guest Maintenance & Facility Support

About the role

The Electrician provides on‑site technical support for guest rooms and hotel facilities, responding to repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of equipment. The role ensures safe, efficient operation of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools, kitchen and mechanical‑room equipment.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines for wear or damage.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves and utility shut‑offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved procedures.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical components, lighting, outlets, switches and HVAC filters.
• Program televisions and perform general housekeeping and engineering inventory duties.
• Use Lockout/Tagout system before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter and update work‑related information using computer scheduling tools.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb (heavier with assistance) and work on stairs, ladders and service ramps.
