Hotel General Manager – Luxury Five‑Star Property

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a flagship five‑star hotel in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to the group’s senior leadership, the GM will be responsible for overall operational excellence, profitability and long‑term sustainability of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all hotel departments (rooms, food & beverage, sales, finance, HR) to achieve agreed performance standards and budget targets.
• Implement best‑practice business‑excellence processes, continuous‑improvement initiatives and quality frameworks such as EFQM.
• Drive guest‑satisfaction improvements and develop new revenue opportunities.
• Manage relationships with asset owners, investors and external partners.
• Lead a culturally diverse workforce, fostering empowerment, coaching and high‑performance culture.
• Oversee project‑management activities related to renovations, upgrades and capital projects.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience as General Manager in a five‑star hotel or resort.
• Proven track record of enhancing profitability and guest satisfaction.
• Experience working with asset managers or owner representatives.
• Strong background in leading multicultural teams.
• Project‑management experience, preferably within the Middle East hospitality market.

Required skills

• Familiarity with EFQM or comparable quality management models.
• Project management competency.
