HR Business Partner / HR Lead

About the role

Our client, a leading independent distributor of plastic raw materials and chemicals in the UAE, is seeking a seasoned HR professional to independently lead and develop the Human Resources function. The role combines strategic partnership with day‑to‑day HR operations, supporting senior management and the entire workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the trusted HR advisor to senior leadership, shaping HR strategies, policies and procedures in line with UAE labour law.
• Lead workforce planning, organisational design, talent development, performance management and succession planning.
• Build and optimise HR systems, governance structures and operational processes to improve efficiency and employee experience.
• Own the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment, onboarding and development to off‑boarding and exit management – across all levels.
• Design and execute recruitment strategies, conduct competency‑based interviews and manage employer branding initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, advise on termination procedures and analyse turnover trends to support retention.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in both operational and strategic HR functions, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, take ownership of the HR department and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour legislation and best practices in HR governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the capacity to partner with senior leaders.
