HSE Lead – Health, Safety & Environment Manager

About the role

The HSE Lead will develop, implement and continuously improve the Health, Safety and Environmental management framework for Pulse Nova’s manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and defence industry standards. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Facilities and Production, the role drives a strong safety culture and HSE excellence across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, implement and continuously improve the site HSE framework, including policies, procedures, risk assessments and audit routines.
• Lead hazard identification and incident investigations, ensuring robust root‑cause analysis and timely CAPA closure.
• Ensure legal compliance with applicable HSE standards, ergonomics, workplace safety and environmental requirements.
• Deliver HSE training programmes (inductions, toolbox talks, safe work instructions) and maintain training records.
• Conduct periodic inspections and audits of shop‑floor, warehouse and lab areas, driving closure of findings.
• Drive HSE KPIs using lagging and leading indicators and report trends.
• Lead HSE reviews for process/equipment changes (JSA, LOTO, chemical handling, PPE, emergency preparedness) and manage contractor safety.

Required profile

• 7+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably high‑reliability operations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations.
• Proven experience deploying HSE management systems and leading audits/inspections with disciplined follow‑up.
• Demonstrated competence in incident investigation and root‑cause analysis with measurable results.
• Recognised HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred; exposure to ISO 45001/EMS is a plus.
• Ability to work hands‑on in dynamic, ramp‑up environments.
