Humanities (History & Geography) Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

Aldar Academies are seeking an experienced Humanities Teacher (History and Geography) for Al Ain British Academy. The role starts immediately and involves delivering the English National Curriculum to a diverse student body in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
• Identify and support SEN, EAL and gifted‑and‑talented students through differentiated instruction.
• Use assessment data and performance indicators to inform planning and track progress.
• Integrate ICT tools to enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain classroom discipline in line with the Behaviour for Learning Policy.
• Prepare reports for parents and contribute to curriculum development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Humanities within the English National Curriculum.
• Proven ability to raise standards and close learning gaps.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to professional development.
• Understanding of child protection, safeguarding and the cultural values of the region.
