IBCP Coordinator – Senior Leader for International Baccalaureate Career Programme

About the role

The International Baccalaureate Career‑related Programme (IBCP) Coordinator will lead the development and delivery of the IBCP for Years 12 and 13 at GEMS Wellington International School. Reporting to the Director of 6th Form, the role combines academic leadership, student welfare counselling, and curriculum design.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the IBCP curriculum, including the Reflective Project, Personal and Professional Skills, and Service‑Learning components.
• Provide academic and pastoral counselling for students choosing the IBCP pathway.
• Deliver high‑quality teaching in a subject area such as English, Maths, Science or Humanities, or another specialist discipline.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align the IBCP with the school’s strategic goals.
• Monitor and report on programme outcomes in line with the IB Review Framework.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in a comparable senior teaching or programme‑coordination role.
• Qualified teacher with a degree‑level certification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent).
• Commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
