About the role
The Inspection Officer will join Dubai Customs to conduct risk‑based inspections at the port, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and supporting national security. Reporting to the Senior Officer – Inspection, the role involves examining cargo, vessels, and documentation to detect illegal items and assess the value of goods. The position is based on‑site in Dubai and is open to fresh graduates.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct examinations using various tools and techniques.
- Search boats and ships in the port for illegal items.
- Check passports and documents when suspicion arises and refer to immigration authorities.
- Assess the value of examined goods.
- Refer special cases to senior inspection staff.
- Investigate illegal cases and prepare detailed reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Law, Logistics or a related field.
- Fresh graduate status.
- Ability to conduct inspections and use inspection tools.
- Capability to assess value of goods and prepare reports.
