Inspector - Civil/Finishes

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Inspector – Civil/Finishes to join our Abu Dhabi team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all civil and finishing works meet AECOM’s high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with UAE regulations. The role involves close collaboration with contractors, subcontractors and project engineers to deliver defect‑free construction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct systematic inspections of civil structures and finishing works against approved drawings, specifications and local codes.
• Supervise on‑site activities, coordinating with contractors and project teams to enforce quality and safety protocols.
• Document inspection results, prepare detailed technical reports and maintain accurate records for project archives.
• Analyse materials, workmanship and construction methods to identify non‑conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify compliance with UAE construction regulations, building codes and AECOM quality procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil or finishing inspection within large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, construction standards and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce clear, precise documentation.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse project stakeholders.
