Instrumentation & Control Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Instrumentation & Control Maintenance Engineer will plan, supervise, and execute maintenance activities for a wide range of instrument and control systems across the plant. The role ensures seamless integration between operations, mechanical, and electrical teams to maintain reliable system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support operations and maintenance with equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine surveillance, and start‑up activities.
• Liaise with Mechanical and Electrical sections to align maintenance plans and ensure compliance.
• Provide on‑site technical support for critical maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Allocate manpower for preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance tasks.
• Monitor workload, backlog, and resource availability to meet work‑plan targets.
• Control material, spares, consumables, and tools to ensure continuous availability.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Contribute to major maintenance, upgrades, and obsolescence planning aligned with a five‑year business plan.
• Support new project development, design, commissioning, and cost optimisation.
• Participate in technical requirement definition, bid evaluation, and material inspection.
• Monitor contractor performance to uphold quality and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control or a related engineering discipline.
