Internal Sharia Auditor

About the role

The Internal Sharia Auditor provides independent assurance that the company's activities, products, and operations comply with Sharia principles, internal supervisory resolutions, and relevant regulatory frameworks. The role reinforces governance and manages non‑compliance risk within a risk‑based internal audit function.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a risk‑based annual audit plan.
• Conduct periodic and ad‑hoc audits of products, underwriting processes, and claims management.
• Review contracts, documentation, policy wordings, agreements, and marketing/disclosure materials.
• Assess internal policies, procedures, and the effectiveness of the governance framework.
• Evaluate internal controls, segregation of duties, and risk‑management processes.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in internal audit or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong understanding of Sharia compliance and regulatory environments.
