IT / DT / STEM Teacher – British Curriculum

About the role

We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic teacher to deliver IT, Computing, Design & Technology (DT) and STEM education across primary and secondary year groups. The successful candidate will blend strong classroom practice with a passion for technology, coding, design thinking and hands‑on learning to prepare students for a digital future.

Key responsibilities

• Teach IT / Computing to relevant primary and secondary classes.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of DT and STEM programmes.
• Plan engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the British Curriculum.
• Develop students' skills in coding, computational thinking, digital literacy, design and problem‑solving.
• Facilitate practical projects that encourage design, creation, testing and improvement of solutions.
• Integrate AI literacy and emerging technologies responsibly into learning.
• Support STEM clubs, competitions, exhibitions and innovation projects.
• Maintain high expectations for student achievement, progress and behaviour.
• Contribute positively to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computing, Design & Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification or teacher preparation credential appropriate to the role.
• Relevant classroom teaching experience.
• Strong communication, classroom management and collaborative skills.
• Ability to use technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
