ITS Engineer (C-ITS/V2X)

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced ITS Engineer specialized in Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS) and V2X technologies. You will support the Resident Engineer in all technical, administrative, and operational aspects of deploying, integrating, testing, commissioning, and accepting a C-ITS solution across the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of C‑V2X infrastructure, including Roadside Units (RSUs) and Onboard Units (OBUs).
• Coordinate integration of connected‑vehicle applications with the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS).
• Review functional and detailed system design submissions for compliance with C‑ITS standards.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable specifications (3GPP, ETSI, SAE, ISO, CEN).
• Interface with telecommunications providers, ATMS developers, and other contractors.
• Witness and document testing activities, validation methodologies, and interoperability tests.
• Deliver C‑ITS services and use cases in line with contract requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in C‑V2X, 3GPP, LTE‑V2X or 5G NR V2X communications.
• Strong background in intelligent transportation systems and wireless communications.
• Proven ability to work with multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex integration projects.
• Familiarity with ATMS, network architecture, and cybersecurity PKI concepts.
