Junior General Accountant

About the role

The Junior General Accountant will join the Finance & Accounts department and support the Finance Director in maintaining accurate financial records. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to develop core accounting skills while working under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist in preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Support bank reconciliations and petty‑cash management.
• Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Assist auditors during internal and external audits.
• Comply with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
• Perform other finance‑related tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software; ERP knowledge is a plus.
