Junior Procurement Officer (UAE National)

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a young Emirati professional to join its procurement team. The role offers a hands‑on learning experience across the full spectrum of sourcing, buying, PO processing and contract administration, all within the airline’s governance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Support Category Managers throughout the sourcing lifecycle, including requirements definition, RFI/RFP, award and contract activities.
• Execute tactical and low‑value procurement using self‑service channels such as P‑Cards, Managed Catalogues and Guided Buying.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement operations, ensuring compliance with PSM policies, accurate contract administration and proper use of Ariba reporting tools.
• Convert Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders efficiently and timely.
• Perform post‑contract administration, tracking consumption, reporting and capturing supplier performance data.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable to resolve payment issues.

Required profile

• Diploma‑level qualification.
• Awareness of aviation or indirect categories.
• Minimum three years of procurement operations and sourcing experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with Procure‑to‑Pay processes.
