Key Stage 1 Teacher – January 2027 start

About the role

Fortes Education is seeking an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join Sunmarke School in the United Arab Emirates, starting January 2027. The successful candidate will deliver the National Curriculum for early primary learners within a Positive Education framework, fostering curiosity, resilience and a growth mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 pupils.
• Implement Positive Education principles to nurture character strengths and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with senior staff to develop interdisciplinary projects, including STEAM and sustainability initiatives.
• Maintain accurate pupil records and provide constructive feedback to parents.
• Participate in staff development, school events and extra‑curricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 or early primary years.
• Passion for innovative, values‑based education and student wellbeing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the UK Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Effective classroom management techniques.
• Ability to integrate educational technology and hands‑on learning tools.
