Knowledge Lawyer – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join our Dubai office, supporting the Debt Finance, Restructuring and Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure (ENRI) departments. The role will create and maintain core reference materials, standard form precedents, and monitor market and legislative developments across the UAE and wider Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare updates, answer enquiries and produce sophisticated guidance on complex finance‑related legal matters.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve high‑quality local standard form precedents, including legal opinions, security documents and ancillary finance documentation.
• Monitor market practice, legislative and regulatory developments in the UAE and broader Middle East finance markets, assess impact and communicate key points to the teams.
• Lead the centralisation and curation of know‑how and precedents, ensuring an up‑to‑date, searchable precedent bank.
• Collaborate with Knowledge Lawyers in the London office and drive legal‑tech initiatives in the Middle East.
• Provide ad‑hoc support as a central point of contact for associates and partners on know‑how, trends and market positions.
• Prepare practice notes, drafting guides and “what’s market” analyses to enable efficient transactional work.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in finance‑related legal work, preferably within debt finance, restructuring or ENRI practice.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and Middle‑East finance legislation and market practices.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain standard form precedents and guidance material.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
• Willingness to collaborate across offices and lead knowledge‑management initiatives.
