Laboratory Assistant

About the role

The Laboratory Assistant will support chemists and the QA/QC Manager in the Lubricating Oils and Greases laboratory at our Dubai plant. The role involves sample handling, equipment upkeep and ensuring timely batch releases while adhering to HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draw samples of raw material, packaging material and finished products as directed.
• Maintain the laboratory and all equipment in a clean condition at all times.
• Ensure proper storage and easy recall of retention samples.
• Replenish laboratory chemicals from store to guarantee continuous testing.
• Assist in minimizing batch release time and support the laboratory management system.
• Participate in the implementation of the company’s HSE policy and follow safe working practices.

Cyber Information Security Responsibilities

• Comply with information security policies, standards and procedures.
• Classify and protect information assets according to the Data Classification Standard.
• Participate in mandatory security awareness and training programs.
• Report security incidents, vulnerabilities or non‑compliance as required.

Required profile

• High School certificate or laboratory apprenticeship from a recognized institute.
• 1–2 years of experience, preferably in a lubricants blending plant.

Required skills

• Laboratory sample collection and handling.
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Chemical inventory management and replenishment.
