Lead Commissioning Engineer – Instrument & Controls (Subsea Cable & Piping)

About the role

KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions division delivers holistic, value‑added services across the entire asset life‑cycle, from licensed process technologies to energy transition solutions and smart asset optimisation. As part of this team, the Lead Commissioning Engineer – Instrument & Controls will oversee commissioning activities for the Offshore Well Head Tower and associated subsea cable and piping systems. The position is initially based in Abu Dhabi at the client or contractor office, then transitions to a fabrication yard and ultimately to the offshore site, operating on a 6‑week/3‑week rotation in line with client requirements. The engineer will lead commissioning planning, execution, and handover for instrument and control systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, on‑time delivery of milestones.

Required profile

• Minimum 20+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with well head tower, subsea cable and piping, preferably in brownfield modification projects.
• At least 5 years of experience on ADNOC projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role on mega FEED/EPC projects exceeding US$1 billion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
