About the role

Descon Engineering Services & Technology is seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer – Civil to join its growing team in the Oil & Gas sector in the UAE. The role involves leading the design of equipment foundations and steel structures for petrochemical plants and oil well projects, offering the chance to contribute to high‑profile engineering initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of equipment foundations.
• Design and detail steel structures for oil and petrochemical facilities.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes such as UBC and ASEC.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings and specifications.

Required profile

• Graduate engineer in any discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering.
• 2 to 3 years of experience specifically in petrochemical plants or oil wells.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Staad Pro, Staad Foundation and Mat3D software.
• Strong knowledge of UBC and ASEC design codes.
• Expertise in structural design of equipment foundations and steel structures.
