Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑mind​ed Legal Counsel to join a leading publicly listed property developer in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality legal support across contract drafting, negotiations, corporate structuring, governance and intellectual property matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial contracts for real‑estate and construction projects.
• Handle company formation, structuring and ongoing corporate secretarial duties.
• Manage governance, board matters and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee trademark registrations and broader intellectual‑property strategy.
• Provide legal advice on property development, construction and related business activities.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional from a Common Law jurisdiction (e.g., UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa).
• 6–8 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in real‑estate, property development or construction.
• Proven track record in complex commercial contracting and negotiations.
• Experience advising on property, construction and real‑estate business matters.
• Familiarity with multi‑jurisdictional regulatory environments.
