Legal Counsel (UAE)

About the role

Masdar is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal and regulatory advice across its renewable energy portfolio. Working under the supervision of senior lawyers, you will help the business make informed decisions while managing key legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, memoranda, resolutions and other legal documents throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Provide transactional support for deal execution, including preparation of legal documentation and leading negotiations.
• Offer legal and regulatory guidance on UAE law, employment law, company law and energy‑sector regulations.
• Assist senior counsel with corporate governance matters, including board and committee documentation, minutes, resolutions and shareholder papers.
• Support entity management activities such as constitutional documents, powers of attorney and authorised signatory registers.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external counsel and service providers to ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Law degree with a strong understanding of UAE commercial, employment and energy‑sector law.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.
• Ability to work under guidance from senior legal team members and manage multiple legal tasks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail.
