Library Manager – Government Cultural Entity (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a Library Manager to lead the library network of a government cultural entity in Dubai. The role oversees multiple branches, including Al Safa, Umm Suqeim, Hor Al Anz, Al Manakh, Hatta, Al Rashidiya, Al Twar and Al Ras, ensuring high‑quality services for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily library operations, visitor services and program delivery across all branches.
• Expand and maintain both physical and digital collections.
• Develop partnerships with cultural, educational and community organisations.
• Organise and manage community events, book fairs and outreach programmes.
• Lead a team of library specialists and officers, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, financial reports and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library and Information Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in library services, public‑facing operations or community engagement.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Experience in managing library operations or similar public service environments.
• Ability to build and maintain external partnerships.
• Budget management and reporting competence.
