Licensed Small Animal Veterinarian – Full-time (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Groomy Pet, a leading pet grooming and veterinary facility in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a licensed Small-Animal Veterinarian to join its clinical team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality medical care to companion animals, support clinic operations and mentor junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of small-animal health conditions.
• Perform surgical procedures and provide emergency care as needed.
• Develop and implement patient-flow strategies in collaboration with management.
• Maintain clinical standards, ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and local regulations.
• Mentor interns, students and clinic staff, fostering a culture of collaboration.
• Educate pet owners on preventive care, vaccination schedules and nutrition.
• Contribute to business development ideas and innovative service offerings.

Required profile

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution.
• Valid veterinary license and eligibility to practice in the UAE.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical veterinary experience, preferably with small animals.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Required skills

• Clinical diagnosis and medical decision-making.
• Surgical proficiency and emergency care.
• Knowledge of veterinary pharmacology and treatment protocols.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and laboratory testing.
