Lifeguard at Pearl British Academy

About the role

Aldar Academies are seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to join the Pearl British Academy community starting August 2026. You will ensure the safety of pupils, staff and visitors in the school pool while supporting the physical education team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain constant supervision of the swimming pool and its users from the designated station.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑lesson pool checks and report any maintenance issues.
• Support the swimming coach and PE team in delivering engaging lessons and organising sports events such as galas.
• Assist classroom teachers and assistants with child supervision before, during and after lessons.
• Manage safety of swimmers, parents, pupils, teachers and staff, following the school’s SOP and ADEK guidelines.
• Carry out equipment set‑up, dismantling and safety checks in accordance with induction training.
• Complete administrative tasks for the swimming program and provide excellent customer service.
• Attend mandatory monthly training sessions and conduct pool tests as required.

Required profile

• UAE approved ADQCC Swimming Coach or Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Proficient swimmer with strong water safety awareness.
• CPR knowledge and a valid First Aid Certificate.
• Ability to work with children and support teaching staff.
