About the role

The Makeup Artist will deliver expert makeup services to customers in a retail environment, driving sales through personalized consultations, event makeup, and up‑to‑date beauty trends. This position combines hands‑on artistry with product knowledge to enhance the customer experience and support store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide event makeup, beauty transformations, and personalized consultations.
• Demonstrate advanced makeup techniques to maximize sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay current on makeup trends and educate customers on new products and techniques.
• Recommend specific cosmetics tailored to individual needs, promoting a personalized shopping experience.
• Maintain brand standards, visual merchandising, and product displays.
• Handle POS transactions, process payments, and manage cash accurately.
• Monitor stock levels, record inventory movements, and support replenishment.
• Engage customers warmly, convert window shoppers, and promote the loyalty program.
• Uphold housekeeping, safety, hygiene, and compliance with brand SOPs.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of professional makeup artistry experience, preferably in retail or beauty.
• Proficiency in a wide range of makeup techniques and strong product knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a focus on building rapport.
• Ability to work collaboratively and train junior staff on new techniques.
