Manager Inland Procurement – Arabian Gulf & Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are seeking a Manager Inland Procurement for the Arabian Gulf & Saudi Arabia region to join our Procurement team in Dubai. You will shape the inland procurement strategy, lead sourcing activities and ensure cost‑effective vendor selection aligned with Hapag‑Lloyd’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop inland procurement strategy for Arabian Gulf & Saudi Arabia in line with Hapag‑Lloyd Strategy 2030.
• Lead sourcing activities, manage tenders and contract renewals, and negotiate rate agreements.
• Apply global procurement guidelines, ensure compliance with code of conduct and total cost of ownership principles.
• Oversee contract signing, supplier onboarding and rate updates, coordinating with RME and QSC teams.
• Monitor monthly costs, drive savings initiatives and report results through CCM and other cost‑savings tools.
• Maintain supplier performance, select competitive vendors and support regional procurement activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inland procurement or logistics sourcing, preferably within the Arabian Gulf region.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, TCO/TVO concepts and compliance requirements.
• Ability to develop category strategies, negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
• Excellent coordination skills with cross‑functional teams such as RME, QSC and regional operations.
