Mason – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Mason will support the Engineering team by performing masonry, tiling, plastering and general civil maintenance across Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and exterior spaces meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out masonry, plastering, tiling, grouting and concrete repair works throughout the hotel.
• Repair damaged walls, ceilings, floors, walkways, staircases and other finishes.
• Install, replace and repair ceramic, porcelain, marble and granite tiles.
• Perform minor civil works such as bricklaying, cement rendering, screeding and patch repairs.
• Address cracks, expansion joint issues and waterproofing defects.
• Support room refurbishments, renovation projects and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect finishes, report defects and ensure compliance with health, safety and fire regulations.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and keep accurate work orders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or commercial masonry and civil maintenance.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal disruption to guests.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Good teamwork skills and ability to coordinate with other engineering trades.
