Mathematics Head of Department

About the role

The Indian Academy Dubai, a British‑curriculum school, is seeking an experienced Mathematics Head of Department (HOD) to lead its maths faculty. The successful candidate will drive curriculum excellence, support teachers, and raise student achievement across all key stages.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with teachers to enhance pedagogical practice and improve student outcomes.
• Contribute effectively to team planning and curriculum development.
• Work with the Key Stage Leader and Vice‑Principal to raise academic standards.
• Ensure compliance with the UAE teaching framework and maintain a high standard of lesson delivery.
• Oversee all departmental activities and related responsibilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Master of Science in Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Education (no distance or open‑university degrees).
• Excellent command of English.
• Availability in the UAE for a demonstration session.

Required skills

• Deep subject knowledge of mathematics curricula.
• Strong understanding of British curriculum standards.
• Familiarity with UAE educational regulations.
