Mechanical Package Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Package Engineer to join our engineering team on oil & gas projects during the FEED and Detail Design phases. The role focuses on the design, specification, and coordination of mechanical equipment packages for ADNOC on‑shore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design and calculations for package equipment such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
• Prepare and review datasheets, specifications, P&IDs and layout drawings for mechanical packages.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC engineering standards, project specifications and international codes (ASME, API, ANSI).
• Coordinate with process, civil, electrical and instrumentation disciplines to integrate packages.
• Review vendor drawings, datasheets and calculations for procurement.
• Support FEED studies and Detail Design, including load, weight and centre‑of‑gravity analysis and equipment selection.
• Provide technical support during design reviews, HAZOP sessions and technical queries.
• Maintain adherence to project schedules, quality and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 12–15 years of experience in oil & gas projects with proven ADNOC on‑shore exposure.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).
• Experience with FEED and Detail Design documentation, 3D modelling and package design coordination.
• Hands‑on experience with chemical injection, refrigeration, filtration, and centrifuge packages.
