Mechanical Technician – HSM Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician for the Heavy Section Mill (HSM) operating on a day shift in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on maintaining plant equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on mechanical assets to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
• Monitor mechanical abnormalities in the HSM, report issues promptly and coordinate resolutions.
• Carry out regular equipment inspections to verify compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
• Support supervisors and collaborate with other departments to maintain smooth maintenance operations and uninterrupted production.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent technical qualification.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently on a day‑shift schedule and follow safety procedures.
