Medical Laboratory Technologist – Kidney Care & Research

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform chemical and biological tests on patient specimens to support diagnosis, kidney care and research activities. The role follows international quality standards such as ISO 15189, CAP and AABB, ensuring accurate and reliable results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform chemical and biological analyses, including ELISA and flow cytometry, on patient samples.
• Operate, calibrate, clean and maintain automated laboratory platforms and other equipment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, inspections and functional integrity checks of all laboratory instruments.
• Maintain sufficient inventory of consumables, report shortages and coordinate replenishment.
• Supervise junior staff, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and SOPs.
• Capture test results in laboratory information systems and provide timely reports to physicians.
• Evaluate collected data, prepare analytical reports and support method development.
• Comply with safety, infection‑control and environmental protection procedures.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and participate in quality audits.

Required profile

• Qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist with experience in clinical or research settings.
• Familiarity with ISO 15189, CAP and AABB standards.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and follow strict SOPs.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
