Mobile Service Platform Engineer

About the role

Space42 is seeking a Mobile Service Platform Engineer to ensure stable and efficient operation of its ground‑based mobile service systems. The role involves daily operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and supporting upgrades for voice and packet services in a high‑availability telecom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily operations and first‑level maintenance of hardware and software ground systems.
• Monitor system performance, generate reports and identify anomalies.
• Investigate and resolve faults in voice and packet networks, including Packet and Voice Gateways.
• Escalate complex issues to vendors and follow through to resolution.
• Support system upgrades, installation, testing (RTB and live) and commissioning of new equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams such as Technology, Operations and Customer Care.
• Maintain system records, inventory and perform preventive maintenance and backups.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call support, respond to emergencies and participate in CAB activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in telecom operations.
• Knowledge of GSM/2G and basic 4G (RAN, eNodeB) technologies.
• Understanding of voice and packet network architectures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and reporting abilities.
