Nurse Midwife – Home‑Based Postnatal Care

About the role

The Midwife will provide full‑time, on‑site care in clients’ homes across Dubai, focusing on postpartum and newborn services. The role combines clinical assessment, family education, and coordination with other health professionals to ensure safe and culturally sensitive care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct postnatal assessments and monitor the health of parents and newborns.
• Provide immediate post‑birth care, breastfeeding and lactation support.
• Educate families on newborn care, sleep training, weaning and maternal recovery.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established care protocols.
• Contribute to ongoing quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Travel to various locations in Dubai, delivering respectful and safe home‑based care.

Required profile

• Strong midwifery and maternity care skills, including intrapartum and postnatal support.
• Experience in newborn and infant care, especially breastfeeding and early child health education.
• Degree in Nursing or Midwifery with recognized certification.
• Previous experience in home healthcare, maternity units, or community health settings (highly beneficial).
• Excellent communication, empathy and ability to build trust with diverse families.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities, with attention to safety and infection control.
• Ability to work independently, manage schedules and respond to urgent care needs.
