Occupational Therapist

About the role

Esperanza Speech and Occupational Therapy Centre is looking for a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team in Dubai. The role focuses on delivering evidence‑based therapy to children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental challenges and to adults recovering from orthopedic or neurological events.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and design individualized therapy plans for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, developmental delays, or post‑surgical needs.
• Implement Sensory Integration programs using play‑based, child‑friendly techniques to improve fine motor skills, coordination, and daily living abilities.
• Prescribe and train clients and caregivers on adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and educators to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate parents and caregivers on home programs and behavioral strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, track progress, and adjust treatment goals regularly.

Required profile

• DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or related developmental delays.
• Certification or formal training in Sensory Integration Therapy is preferred.

• Strong clinical reasoning in pediatric sensory integration and rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication and child‑handling abilities.
• Ability to engage children through structured play and sensory‑based activities.
• Team collaboration in multidisciplinary environments.
