Owner – Construction Business Executive

About the role

The Owner will lead Paragon Construction Zambia’s overall business strategy, operations and financial performance. Based in Dubai with hybrid flexibility, the role combines executive leadership with hands‑on oversight of construction projects across Zambia and the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement corporate goals, strategic plans and long‑term growth initiatives.
• Manage budgets, cash flow, financial reporting and risk assessments.
• Review project pipelines, approve bids, contracts and major procurement decisions.
• Direct project managers and site teams, monitor timelines, quality standards and safety compliance.
• Ensure adherence to local regulations in Zambia and the UAE.
• Build and nurture client, partner and supplier relationships; negotiate agreements and identify new business opportunities.
• Make high‑level decisions on staffing, vendor selection and resource allocation.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in construction, engineering, real estate development or a closely related field, preferably in an ownership, director or senior‑management role.
• Strong business management capabilities including strategic planning, budgeting, financial oversight and familiarity with contracts, tenders and procurement processes.
• Solid understanding of construction project management, scheduling, resource planning, site coordination, quality control and health & safety standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and digital collaboration tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are a plus.
• Experience operating across different regions and knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Zambia and the UAE is advantageous.
