Pediatric Specialist – General Pediatrics

About the role

The Royal Clinic Al Riyad City is seeking a qualified Specialist in General Pediatrics to deliver high‑quality clinical care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams while upholding ethical and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct pediatric care in the outpatient clinic, evaluating patients daily and performing examinations, investigations and procedures.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging, determine diagnoses, and prescribe appropriate medical, nursing and dietary interventions.
• Serve as a consultant to surgical and obstetric teams for pediatric patients, including newborn care and emergency deliveries.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality management and infection control policies.
• Participate in on‑call emergency coverage for pediatric emergencies and contribute to continuous professional development of self and colleagues.

Required profile

• 3–5 years post‑qualification experience at specialist level, with at least 1 year in a Tier 1 country as defined by UAE regulators.
• Medical degree plus recognized pediatric specialty qualification (e.g., fellowship, diploma) approved by UAE health authorities.
• Active registration with the relevant UAE healthcare authority and valid life‑support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
