Petty Cash Holder

About the role

The Petty Cash Holder will manage daily petty cash operations for NAFFCO in Abu Dhabi, ensuring accurate cash handling, timely reimbursements, and full compliance with internal financial policies. This position supports the Finance Department by maintaining precise records and providing efficient service to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Safeguard and manage the petty cash float according to company policies.
• Process petty cash payments and employee reimbursements after obtaining required approvals.
• Prepare and submit replenishment requests to maintain adequate cash balances.
• Conduct regular cash counts and reconcile physical cash with accounting records.
• Maintain accurate vouchers, receipts, and supporting documentation in the ERP system.
• Allocate expenses to correct cost centres and accounts.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with NAFFCO’s financial procedures and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits by providing complete documentation.
• Assist employees with reimbursement procedures and resolve related issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in petty cash management, cashiering, finance support or accounting.
• Preferably an Arabic national.
• Prior experience in the UAE, especially in construction, engineering or manufacturing, is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics is beneficial.
