Pipeline Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Pipeline Technician to join Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and availability of pipeline equipment through preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and troubleshooting mechanical maintenance on pipeline equipment.
• Carry out pigging operations according to company procedures.
• Record and report cathodic protection test readings and any abnormalities.
• Patrol pipelines, reporting unauthorized or hazardous activities.
• Oversee contractors and third‑party work near pipeline right‑of‑way to prevent damage.
• Inspect civil works during construction projects for safety and compliance.
• Monitor field process parameters and ensure availability of tools, spares and equipment.
• Prepare scopes of work, safety permits, and special tool requirements.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically with pipeline systems.
• Ability to work on‑site in Abu Dhabi and follow safety and work‑permit procedures.
