Planning Engineer – LPG & CNG Operations

About the role

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the activities of LPG terminals, depots and CNG stations. This includes planning fleet, equipment and machine utilization, production of LPG cylinders, supply and distribution of LPG & CNG, as well as maintenance shutdowns, all in line with ADNOC Distribution HSSEQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual, quarterly and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and ensure targets are met.
• Prepare material requirement plans for LPG cylinders, accessories and related equipment.
• Calculate productivity, manpower and man‑hour requirements for each production line and optimise workforce allocation.
• Create demand plans for LPG, propane, butane and CNG, aligning with inventory strategies and sales forecasts.
• Design distribution plans to utilise resources efficiently and meet market demand.
• Plan maintenance and shutdown activities for terminals and stations, ensuring predictive and preventive maintenance programmes are executed.
• Monitor inventory movements, compile monthly stock statements and control product losses or gains.
• Review operational procedures, prepare contract scopes and evaluate contractors according to guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in production, supply‑chain or distribution planning within the LPG/CNG or broader energy sector.
• Strong understanding of HSSEQ standards and ISO requirements.
• Ability to analyse data, forecast demand and optimise resource utilisation.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.
