Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover (October Start)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to provide maternity cover at Yasmina British Academy, starting in October 2026. The successful candidate will join a vibrant school community and deliver high‑quality instruction following the English National Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental policies aligned with the school’s vision and high standards.
• Plan, monitor, and evaluate short‑, medium‑, and long‑term departmental goals.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create targeted support plans.
• Design, review, and update schemes of work for all year groups, including provisions for SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL learners.
• Ensure curriculum continuity, progression, and coverage for all ability levels.
• Set and uphold expectations for teaching quality, student achievement, and behaviour.
• Evaluate teaching practice, identify improvement areas, and implement enhancements.
• Contribute to the school’s CAS programme and after‑school support sessions.
• Manage departmental performance and allocate staff and resources efficiently.

Required profile

• Secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
• Proven track record of raising standards and closing learning gaps.
• Demonstrated leadership experience at various levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
