Product Owner – SME Mobile & Online Banking (Digital)

About the role

Mashreq aims to deliver the best digital banking experience for SME customers across its markets. The Product Owner for SME Digital Banking will own Mashreq Biz mobile (MOB) and online (MOL) channels end‑to‑end, driving roadmap, backlog, delivery and continuous improvement. This senior role ensures alignment of customer experience, platform capabilities and regulatory requirements across the UAE, Egypt and Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product vision, annual roadmap and quarterly priorities for SME digital channels.
• Lead the full product lifecycle – from discovery, definition and agile delivery to release, operation and ongoing optimisation.
• Act as the global custodian of SME digital standards, ensuring consistent journeys, design patterns and reusable components across markets.
• Collaborate with Mobile Platform squads and Retail Digital Banking teams to embed SME requirements into platform roadmaps.
• Drive agile delivery, managing sprint planning, backlog prioritisation and cross‑functional dependencies.
• Own customer experience outcomes, monitoring CSAT, NPS, MAU, digital engagement and self‑service adoption.
• Develop and coach proxy product owners and squad members, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Engage senior stakeholders—including Executive Leadership, Head of Digital and Business Banking leaders—to align priorities and manage risks.
