Professor, Department of Family Medicine

About the role

The United Arab Emirates University seeks a dedicated Professor to join its Department of Family Medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and academic leadership at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lectures and seminars for undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Supervise graduate students, theses, and dissertations.
• Develop and sustain an externally funded research program in the candidate’s area of expertise.
• Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and accreditation activities.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate in Special Education, Gifted Education, Inclusive Education, or a closely related field from a reputable institution.
• Evidence of teaching excellence at the university level.
• Strong scholarly record with publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience advising graduate students and supervising research projects.
• Demonstrated academic and research leadership, including successful grant acquisition.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic and knowledge of the UAE education system are a plus.
