Project Engineer (Civil/Structural)

About the role

The Project Engineer will oversee civil and structural construction activities, ensuring all works align with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE regulations. This role involves close coordination with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain quality and schedule compliance on high‑rise residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor all civil and structural construction activities for compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Supervise excavation, concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, plastering, finishing, and external works.
• Ensure construction complies with UAE codes, standards, and local authority regulations.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and test reports.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify non‑conformities, and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Witness and verify material testing, concrete pouring, and inspection requests.
• Prepare daily site reports, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
• Support authority inspections and ensure compliance during audits and approvals.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 8–15 years of relevant civil inspection experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with consultant firms in the UAE (mandatory).
• Strong background in high‑rise and residential building projects.
• Sound knowledge of UAE construction practices, codes, and standards.
