Purchasing Section Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Section Manager will lead the end‑to‑end supply chain processes for Alfanar Electric, ensuring efficient procurement, production, and delivery of goods. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers while leveraging SAP ERP to maximise effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Strategically select, qualify and negotiate with suppliers, managing contracts within authorized limits.
• Maintain compliance with KSA customs, clearance policies and legal requirements, reviewing comparison sheets and coordinating with legal advisors.
• Coordinate with support functions to meet purchasing needs and align deliveries with project schedules.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends and material availability to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Provide SAP ERP expertise to improve supply‑chain efficiency.
• Develop and manage a high‑performing team, recognising talent and addressing performance issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in purchasing or supply‑chain management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, ensuring fair treatment and performance‑driven assessments.
• Strong understanding of supplier negotiation, contract management and compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
